Why Start This Blog?#

Here it is—my very first blog post! It’s about time, isn’t it?

Starting a blog requires courage and passion, especially in a technical field like computer networks. For me, it’s about more than just sharing knowledge—it’s about making an impact, breaking stereotypes, and celebrating a field that I deeply care about.

Honestly, I’ve thought about creating a blog for years, but for some reason, I never took the leap. Until today.

This blog is my space to share what I’ve learned over the years in the world of computer networks. It’s a way to give back to the community that inspired me when I was starting out. Who knows? It might even help someone new in the field.

Why Networks? Why Now?#

Networks are my passion—after my family, of course! This ever-evolving field has transformed the way we live and work globally, and I feel compelled to pay tribute to it by sharing my experiences and insights.

But life as a husband and father means my time is limited. I needed a blogging process that’s efficient and streamlined—one that lets me focus on writing rather than wrestling with code or uploads. That’s why I built an automated workflow for this blog.

My Blogging Workflow#

Inspired by NetworkChuck’s YouTube channel, I created a system that turns my ideas into published posts with minimal effort. Here are the tools I use:

  • Obsidian: For drafting and organizing my posts.
  • Hugo: For converting text into clean, publishable code.
  • GitHub: For automating deployment to my hosting platform.
  • Hostinger: For hosting my websites.

This workflow keeps things simple, so I can focus on what matters—sharing my knowledge and connecting with others.
